June has been a good month for the Seattle Mariners. Despite allowing the Oakland Raiders to sweep us on the road in mid-June, the Mariners are winning some important games and showing definite signs of the strength and drive necessary to achieve a winning record in the very near future. We are fast approaching the Texas Rangers in the AL West and face the Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels in the next weeks. The three series have the potential to be relatively challenging, yet judging by the stats, the odds are in the Mariners favor in many areas.
Capitalizing on an opportunity like this can make a big difference in the long and short run. The Seattle Mariners have shown they can win; now they just have to keep it up and fight a little harder every series to protect their edge, ensure victory and get much needed practice for more strategically challenging matches to come.
